About Me
My name is Jill and I am the owner of The Shaggy Dog. I grew up with a deep love of dogs which in turn led me to this career. After realizing the great need for my own dogs to be groomed in a quiet place, and realizing that there were most likely other dogs out there who needed the same quiet one on one experience, The Shaggy Dog was created, I am a lifelong resident of Milford, Mi. I live here with my husband Scott, three children and two dogs, Charlie the Golden Retriever and Frank the Boxer.

Brittany has been with The Shaggy Dog for 2 years. With 15+ years of grooming experience and her gentle and compassionate approach to grooming, makes her a perfect fit for The Shaggy Dog. Dogs and customers alike love Brittany and we are lucky to have her.
Grooming
Mobile grooming allows for a more quiet and peaceful environment for your fur baby. No barking dogs, NO CAGES, no distractions, and less time away from home. Your dog walks out of the house and into the van then back to his favorite napping spot all with in a few hours. Our grooming philosophy is to create as much of a stress free environment for your dog as possible, lessening anxiety by providing a gentle, loving approach to the entire groom. "Humanity Over Vanity", is our motto. Your dog comes first, his comfort and happiness are number one.

Emergency services are charged a 50% higher rate

*We reserve the right to return any dog ungroomed if fleas are found or any communicable illness is suspected. ($75 van cleaning fee may be applicable if fleas are found)
*I offer discounts to those with disabilities, senior citizens on a fixed income, service dogs, and military veterans
